THE TOWN SQUARE - URBAN SYSTEM

In Wizna there is as medieval urban system based on the rectangle street layout. That proves that Wizna was once a town. Around the town square we can find loose, ridge, ground-floor, wooden and stone buildings from XIX and XX centrury. The street system is perpendicular to the town square frontage. There is a typical chain of barns located in the west side of the village.
